Deep Drip vs Surface watering

DEEPER ROOTS

Plant roots will reach and grow towards where they find water. DEEP DRIP® stakes release water deep into the ground, encouraging plant roots to grow down into the soil, instead of coming up towards a surface water source. Deep root watering leads to healthier, stronger plants with, of course, deeper roots.

Deep seated roots also help to prevent tree uprooting, hill erosion and damage to structures, foundations, and sidewalks that could otherwise be caused by uprooting.

High Saline

DEEP DRIP® Watering Stakes aerate soil and bring water directly to the plant’s roots, bypassing the tight, high saline soil and leaching salt from the surface and deeper parts of the soil.

Rainy CLimate

Rain is a form of surface watering, leading to shallow roots that do little to prevent uprooting and erosion. DEEP DRIP® Watering Stakes sends water at the right depth consistently and effectively for deeper, stronger roots.

Extreme Weather

DEEP DRIP® Watering Stakes are made of ABS plastic, holding up under extreme weather from 0°F to 180°F.  They also winterize drip irrigation systems, sheltering drip lines & emitter heads from cold, frost, or snow.

Hard Ground

DEEP DRIP® stakes deliver water from 20”-50” into even compacted soil, softening the ground over time and encouraging deeper root growth. Surface watering alone, which even after watering for hours will reach only 3”-4” into the ground.

HEALTHIER PLANTS

DEEP DRIP® also delivers oxygen, nutrients and fertilizer directly to the roots.

Use a Water-soluble fertilizer and have it delivered down deep for fast absorption and supercharged roots. The stake’s perforated shaft allows for optimal saturation of nutrients, assisting with the control of water flow rate. The stake’s shaft is lined with grated holes which keep rocks, dirt, and other obstructions out, ensuring proper irrigation.
